Logitech MK850 Performance
It is nearing the end of the second year of the Covid-19 pandemic. Here in Singapore, working from home is still the default for most businesses. Working from home has its own challenges, and one would be the capability to work at the desk for long durations at ease. To help with my long hours, I have acquired the Logitech MK850 Performance.
Crouching over the laptop for hours made my back start to ache. To ease the backpain, I got myself laptop stands to bring the screens to eye level. This meant I had to have a separate keyboard and mouse. With such a wide variety available, I decided to go with Logitech’s K850 keyboard and M720 mouse combo. Having used the Logitech Performance MX mouse for years, I knew the quality of their products. I chose the combination that allowed me to easily switch between laptops. Although Apple has Airdrop for their devices and computers, Logitech Flow gives this a level up. As long as the computer is on the same network, regardless of the operating system being Mac OS or Microsoft, you can easily transfer files between computers.
It is a full size keyboard and it fits perfectly where I can easily view either of the laptops and with enough wiggle room for the mouse by the side. The palm rest is comfortable and the curvature of the keyboard took a very short while to get used to. The buttons are not as loud as the mechanical keyboards that are so popular and I enjoy the quietness when I type. I am very comfortable with the M720 which has a similar button arrangement to my previous Performance MX. The extra buttons make me not miss the trackpad of the Macbook Pros. I am looking forward to getting some years out of these before I need a change. If you are looking for a keyboard and mouse combo for your laptops and/or desktops, this can accommodate and switch between Mac OS and Windows as well.
